Are you ready for your first lash nap?!
Okay, so you’ve booked your eyelash appointment and don’t know what to expect. Well, it’s as easy as 1-2-3! 1. Arrive, 2. Take a nap, 3. Wake up feeling FABULASH!
When coming to your first eyelash appointment, your lash artist expects you to have plenty of questions. Don’t be afraid to ask these questions, or express any concerns you may have. It is our job to educate our clients on the eyelash extension process. The process is simple and will start off with a consultation, as your artist looks over your medical release form. During this time you should express the look you are trying to achieve. It is also important to be upfront with your lash artist regarding any medical conditions or issues you are having, or have had in the past. Medications, whether strong or weak, can have an effect on the growth of your eyelashes. As lash artists, our main focus is to provide a service that does not jeopardize the integrity of your natural lash. Eyelash extensions were designed to make your life easier which is what we are trying to achieve.
Upon finishing your client consultation, you will lay back on our luxurious, comfortable beds. At this time your lash artist will prepare a tray with everything needed to start the service. Although we will cleanse around the eye area, we recommend you come with no eye makeup on if possible (especially waterproof mascara). After cleansing your eyes, an eye pad will be placed to cover your bottom lashes. After the eye pad is placed you will close your eyes for the remainder of the service. A full set can take up to 2 ½ hours and many clients fall asleep. Since your eyes will need to remain closed the entire service, we ask that you silence your phone and leave any children with a babysitter. At this time we ask that you limit your talking and please do not chew gum. This will help the artist during the application because using certain facial expressions will make it hard to place an eyelash. We also ask that you do not consume caffeine approx. 2-3 hours prior to your visit. The caffeine will cause your eyes to blink or flutter a lot, making it hard for the lash artist to correctly attach a lash.
So now that you have relaxed and are prepared for a nap, your artist will go to work. Applying each lash one by one, the lash artist will use their fine motor skills to attach up to 350 lashes per eye. Once every natural lash has an extension attached (depending on the look chosen), the artist will remove the pads around your eye.
The lashes are so light weight; you should not be able to feel them. Now for the most important part…..revealing the final result! So grab your mirror and be amazed!*
*Disclaimer: Your lash artist cannot be held liable for an accident you may cause while driving, due to looking at your eyelash extensions in the mirror multiple times.
After your service is complete, the artist will go over after care including not getting your lashes wet for 24 hours after application. Now that you know what to expect at your lash appointment, we can’t wait to meet you!
